How to set up in Salesforce
We are excited to introduce you to our Salesforce Marketing Cloud Integration. This will allow you to keep assets within your Marketing Cloud instance. To set this up:
- Log in to your Salesforce Marketing Cloud account and go to the settings dropdown and select Setup.
- Under Platform Tools, expand Apps and select Installed Packages.
- Give the New Package a relevant name. Once you've input the name, click Save.
- On the details page of your new Package, click the Add Component button:
- For the add component options, select API Integration:
- Then set it to a Server-to-Server Integration Type:
- Next, you will set the appropriate fields for the Server-to-Server Integration. You need to enable the read and write permissions for both "Documents and Images" as well as "Saved Content". Be sure to hit Save in the bottom left-hand corner of the panel.
- Now in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, you will see the page below, and you can see where your Client ID, Client Secret, and REST Base URI are. You will need these three items to put into the platform to connect the integration.
How to add the Salesforce Integration in the platform
In your account, click on the down arrow next to your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and select Team Settings.
- You will land on the settings page, and the first item selected here is integrations:
- Click +Add and a menu will pop out on the right side of the screen.
- Select Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- The pop-up will prompt you for the three items from earlier:
REST Base URI
Client ID
Client Secret - Click next to save at the bottom of the window to finalize the connection to your Salesforce Marketing Cloud account.
