Overview of TikTok (Legacy Version)
We’ve launched a new version of TikTok (white icon). Click here to learn more.
What does this mean for the legacy version? If you’re already using it, you can continue using it for your existing feeds. However, you won’t be able to create any new feeds with this version.
If you’d like access to the new TikTok features or add new feeds, you’ll need to reconnect your account using the new version.
For the Browser Extension, it currently uses this version’s API, so it will continue to work as usual. See below how to use this.
How to edit the label on a TikTok feed
By default, the label for the feed itself will be either the page name or group name but you are able to change this to whatever you would like. This is useful if you have more than one brand TikTok account.
- Go to the feed you would like to edit
- Click on the Settings cog
- Click on Edit Name
- Rename the feed to what you would like it to be
- Click on the tick to confirm or the x to cancel
- Your feed should be renamed
How to delete a TikTok feed
- Go to the feed you would like to edit
- Click on the Settings cog
- Click on Remove Feed
- A pop-up notification will appear with Are you sure? All content on this social feed will be deleted and cannot be recovered. Re-adding the exact feed will not recover these posts. You will be presented with two buttons - No, Keep Feed or Yes, Delete Feed
- The feed should disappear if you pressed Yes, Delete Feed
How to pause/unpause a TikTok feed
You can pause or unpause your TikTok feed if you don't want to ingest content or want to restart ingesting content.
To Pause the feed:
- Go to the feed you would like to pause
- Click on the pause icon to pause the feed or you can go onto the settings cog and click Pause Feed
- A popup box will say Are you sure? All content on this social feed will be paused and no new content will be ingested until its is un-paused
- Click on Yes, Pause Feed
- This will Pause the feed
To Unpause the feed:
- Go to the feed you would like to unpause
- Click on the Play icon to unpause the feed or you can go onto the settings cog and click unpause Feed
- This will unpause the feed
How to add TikTok content from the Extension
Overview of the Extension and how to download for Chrome or Safari
Use the Extension to get legal rights to Instagram content and access your UGC anywhere or to pull TikTok content that you just have to have into your Boards.
For Chrome, you can download the Extension here or go to the Chrome Extension store and simply search TINT to find the extension.
For Safari, you can download the Extension here or go to the App Store for Mac and search for TINT - User Generated Content to find the extension.
How to use the Extension for TikTok Content
Once installed, you can access the extension in your navigation bar in Chrome or Safari. You will need to log in and do the following:
Click on the logo in your Chrome or Safari extensions bar
Sign into your TrueLoyal account if prompted
Click Search TikTok. This will open the TikTok website in a new tab
Confirm which Team and Board your videos should be sent to. To change these settings, click Change Board in the top right-hand corner, select your preferred Board, and click the Back Arrow to return to the selection screen

Locate the video you wish to collect
Note: Due to recent TikTok desktop updates, you may need to copy the specific video link and navigate directly to that URL for the logo to appear
Once the video is the only one visible on your screen, click Add Video
A new feed named Browser Extensions will be created on your Board, and your selected video will appear there immediately
